Brucy and I loooove the Oscars and Ellen, so we couldn’t miss this selfie chance!
Despite the joy of watching the Oscars – Brucy had quite a difficult weekend! Saturday morning she woke everyone up early because she was meowing really loudly and then started being sick. I immediately suspected that she ate something toxic but as she eats everything she finds in the house – it was difficult to say what exactly provoked the reaction! I hid all the plants, and after a while she started feeling better.
Sunday morning the mystery was solved! I saw her eat the flower bulb of a daffodil and then a few minutes later she started being sick again! I realized that daffodils are extremely poisonous for cats and his them away. . Poor thing – I wish I knew before!
So beware of daffodils and double check your plants are not toxic for cats before buying them!
I am absolutely in love with this bookcase and cat tree in one – CatCase! I remember spending days looking for a cat tree that is not in neon or in awful leopard print.. This is the perfect solution for people who search for a cat tree that is functional and design!
The best part is that your books are safe as the shelves containing them are protected by a back wall. The only tiny negative is the price – I am sure that many of you agree that 1249 euros is a little bit steep.. But what if we would construct an alternative using the basic Ikea shelves? Anyone wants to take the challenge? 🙂
Following a very exciting trip to IKEA this weekend (you can’t NOT love IKEA!) we had some building to do and obviously Brucy was there to help! I think the absolute best part of IKEA is that it is fun for everyone – especially cats and they get SO much cardboard and boxes to play in after!
Sadly, Brucy’s asthma seems to be getting worse and she often wakes up coughing – the poor thing.. The vet suggested giving her a shot with a high level of steroids, but I think it might be a bit too much for her liver at her young age.. What’s your opinion? Have you given your cat medications at an early age?
I’ve done so many cat-fashion, home décor, cat-inspired beauty tips posts but I’ve never done one on cat-themed books! So this week, I felt inspired to give you guys my selection of top 4 cat books! All of them are just filled with cuteness and are a perfect way to fight those January-post-cavation-blues!
And the best part is that the book that wins the poll will be in my first ever giveaway! Yes, that’s right – you pick the book you want to win! So vote for your favourite book and stay tuned for the giveaway coming up soon (open to all residents, everywhere)!!!
The holiday period is coming up and before you say anything, NO it’s not too early to put up a Christmas tree! We’ve put ours up yesterday but immediately we were faced with a challenge – how to keep our Christmas tree save from Brucy?
First advice – try to avoid crystal, glass decoration balls. The first thing Brucy did was jump on the Christmas tree and try to knock down as many balls as she possibly could. It was then that we realised that plastic balls was a good solution.
Second, maybe stick to a plastic tree. Yes, the real ones smell nicer. Yes, the plastic ones don’t look natural… But if your cat, like mine, loves eating all plants- it will be better for you cat and your Christmas tree to stick to fake one.
Thirdly, do not make gingerbread cookies. I love decorating Christmas trees with baked cookies, but as Brucy eats EVERYTHING she finds, I decided that this year, I will avoid doing this..
I hope those Christmas tree tips will help your Christmas tree survive through the holiday season! How are you preparing for Christmas?
